Come join our class where you will learn how to make an easy pretty shawl or triangle scarf just in time for Christmas. In addition, you will learn how to adapt this pattern to different gauge yarns that strike your fancy.
This fast and easy shawl is perfect for our Sonoma County cool fall and winter months just around the corner and makes a perfect Christmas gift.
New techniques include:
In addition to learning to make the Shawl, you will learn how to increase both knit wise and purl wise. You will also learn a special and unique bind-off technique (Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-off) for use in garments that need to stretch (shawls, cowls, cuffs of socks, etc.). Once you learn this technique you will use it over and over again and never again worry about a bind-off that is too tight.
For this class you need to know how to:
Cast-on, knit and purl. While this is not a beginning class, the project is certainly appropriate for a newbie to the knitting scene.
Please purchase 1-Skein of Paint by Katia in a color of our choice and bring one Size 7-32″ circular needle. You will also need a few stitch markers that fit over a size 7 needle. The pattern is free, so you can pick one up at the same time you purchase your yarn or will be distributed at class.
