Hello, how are you today?
Are you doing Ok with all this rain? Hopefully you haven’t floated away or gotten stuck somewhere. Hopefully this will go a long way towards reducing the drought this year.
Have you survived the time change? I quite like the fall back but I do not like the spring forward, especially in what will be a long work week for me. Never mind eh, just wake me up if I nod off.
We had a couple of fun Saturdays at the winery. Mauritson was so hospitable and accommodating and seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. The weather could have been kinder to us, at least while we were loading and unloading. I think it was well worth the effort though. We were able to share the joy of our craft that had never been exposed to us. With Karen spinning and me knitting; showing raw fleece and the final finished object really opened some eyes. That is what it is all about after all – spreading the word. I must say the wine was a nice touch too. Thank you to all who came out to visit. I know they had a great time too; they told us. If you didn’t get a chance and you enjoy great wine, go on out there sometime; preferably in nice weather to appreciate the wonderful views and sample some of the nicest wine available, you won’t be disappointed. Tell them Yarnitudes sent you.
It will soon be St. Patrick’s Day and in honor of this, come in wearing green this week and you can take an additional 10% off of our already low sales/clearance items. The yarn is great but we need to make room for the NEW. Here’s wishing you a very happy day.
Now the next thing on the calendar will be Easter. I know some of you have been planning for months, for others like me, it has crept up on us. The days and weeks just fly by. I remember my mum saying when I would wish for things to happen sooner “don’t worry when you get older the time will just fly” now I know exactly what she meant. If you are in need of a quick gift we still have a few sheepies, and few wonderful soft rabbits too. However don’t wait too long as they have been very popular; the more people talk about them and feel them the more people want them.
If you are in the mood to make something you still have time. We have found some super easy, super quick projects for you to complete in time. Some are as easy as knitting or crocheting a square and turning it into your own little bunny. There are quick Easter bonnets for that special little girl. I so miss getting Laura all dressed up in her Sunday best with her little hat and purse that matched. What happened to that, I think we should bring that back. Forget the jeans and sweatshirts for one day, what do you say?

There are also some really cute little gifts to fill out the Easter baskets, you can have too much chocolate, although I know some will disagree with me, you can also keep these special little treats that may someday be passed on to future generations. So many things you could make also for the chilly mornings and evenings that we get here. We all know someone who would appreciate a wonderful hand knitted project, or you could just be good to yourself.
Whatever you decide to do, we will be here to help you along the way.
OK well I had better get on now, still lots to do and I have an hours sleep to catch up on.
Until next week then, stay dry, stay safe and enjoy life.
